2154: Mentre č in viaggio per parlare di fronte al consiglio degli Xindi, l'Enterprise incontra un'altra Enterprise del futuro che li avvisa che il wormhole che la nave terrestre vuole imboccare per ridurre la durata del viaggio li porterebbe 117 anni nel passato, vanificando, quindi, la loro missione.
Mayweather: Captain. The stars! They're not where they're supposed to be!
T'Pol: These... chromosomes are Human.

T'Pol: That's impossible. Humans and Vulcans have never been able to
reproduce.
Phlox: According to Lorian, I discovered... hah, or rather, I will
discover... a method of succesfully combining Human and Vulcan genomes.
Archer: You should have told me... my ship could be destroyed!
