Data Stellare sconosciuta: Sisko, studiando antiche leggende e pergamene della tradizione bajoriana, si è convinto del fatto che gli antichi abitanti del pianeta fossero già a conoscenza del volo spaziale. Per dimostrare ciò, decide di costruire una nave solare e compiere un volo dimostrativo insieme a Jake.
