Data Stellare Sconosciuta: Il Grande Nagus Zek risulta sparito dopo che aveva condotto degli affari nell'Universo dello Specchio. Secondo Ezri, il Nagus è prigioniero dell'Alleanza e verrà ucciso a meno che Quark non procuri all'Alleanza un dispositivo di occultamento.

Nel teaser, nel dialogo tra Quark e Odo sono state eliminate alcune battute presenti nello script (le parti in grigio sono quelle presenti nell'episodio).

     ODO
   Actually, I don't think he
   does... and to be perfectly
   frank, I don't think she does
   either.

     QUARK
    (dismissive)
   Oh, what do you know -- you don't
   even recognize an obscene hand
   gesture when you see one.

     ODO
   Maybe not. But I recognize
   deluded fool when I see one..
    (looking directly at
    Quark)
   ... and I'm seeing one now.

     QUARK
   Thanks for the support.

Nella scena in cui Quark e Rom stanno portando il dispositivo di occultamento (in occultamento) nella stiva 14, sono state tolte alcune battute (la prima battuta in grigio termina la scena nell'episodio).

      QUARK
   C'mon! Ezri's waiting in Cargo
   Bay Fourteen.

 After a few difficult steps, something occurs to
 Rom.

     ROM
   Brother -- I just thought of
   something...

     QUARK

     ROM

     QUARK
    (annoyed, giving in)
   Just what?

     ROM
   Isn't Cargo Bay Fourteen the
   other way?

 Quark and Rom stop for a beat, look at each other
 silently, then begin moving in the opposite
 direction.

Quando Quark e Brunt parlano nella navetta, al termine del dialogo è stata tolta una parte della battuta di Brunt (la parte in grigio è presente nell'episodio).

     BRUNT
   Let's just say that when it comes
   to men, she's very particular.
   Now if you don't mind, I need to
   concentrate on remodulating the
   ship's plasma flow.

Quando Ezri consegna all'Intendente i Ferengi con il dispositivo di occultamento, è stata tolta la seguente parte finale della scena.

49   ANGLE ON EZRI

 watching them [Ferengi] go. The Intendant, already having
 forgotten the Ferengis, turns her full attention on
 Ezri, offering her a dazzling smile.

     INTENDANT
   It's so good to see you.

Al termine della scena in cui l'Intendente uccide Brunt e Ezri la lascia sola nella stanza, è stata tolta l'ultima parte della battuta finale di Kira (le parti in grigio sono presenti nell'episodio).

 And with that, Ezri walks out. We hold on the
 Intendant watching her leave. She smiles and turns
 her attention to Brunt's dead body.

     INTENDANT
   She's not afraid of anything, is
   she? Not even me.
    (a beat)
   I find that very exciting. Don't
   you?

Al termine della scena in cui Garak si reca nella cella dei Ferengi per ucciderli con il virus, Quark, Zek e Rom tentano di distrarre Garak parlandogli del Garak del loro universo. Nello script erano previste le seguenti battute:

     ZEK
   Personally, I think you're
   missing a great opportunity... 

     GARAK
    (thinking it over)
   I admit I've often wondered what
   my counterpart must be like...

     QUARK
   I'll tell you one thing, he's a
   very impressive person.

 The Ferengis and Maihar'du nod.

     GARAK
   Go on. Tell me more.

 And off his expression of curiosity...

La morte di Garak per opera del virus, era più lunga, nello script.

78   ON GARAK [che si è appena iniettato accidentalmente il virus]

 as his eyes widen.

     GARAK
   Ow.

 Garak turns to see his assailant, Ezri. Behind her,
 the Klingon guard lies dead on the ground.

     GARAK
    (through clenched teeth)
   That hurts...

 And with that, Garak's knees buckle, and he
 collapses.
